About Me

My name is Janie and I am the proud owner of Perfect Paws. Throughout my childhood I was always around dogs. If you could not find me, just think of where the dog might be and Janie is sure to be there. Still to this day when I am at the dog park I am the person on the ground playing with the dogs. Dogs are my passion! When I was in high school I bought my own dog and began learning about dog training. I was fascinated, so I joined a dog training club and then started training and showing other people's dogs. I have a B.A in Psychology. Then one day, A good friend said, "This could be a career path for you;" I then began taking the necessary steps to become a certified pet dog trainer. While I was working towards my certification I wondered what else I could do, so I started taking classes in T-Touch Massage Therapy for Dogs. After developing a better understanding of the anatomy of dogs, I felt the need to become certified in Pet First-Aide and CPR. Now I spend my days training, socializing, walking, taking pictures, and massaging dogs. I have the best job in the world and fall in love with My client's dog as if they are my own.
